Spain in a nutshell...

I'm a bit new to this blogging stuff but I'll do the best I can and hopefully you can bare with me.  Its week 2 in Salamanca, Spain and so much already happened.  Things like getting lost in Madrid, getting lost in outskirts of Salamanca, and getting lost in the actual city of Salamanca.  I think I'm starting to see a pattern here.  With that said, Madrid was a hell of a time, it included visiting the two world famous museums (La Prada and Reina Sophia).  If it one thing I'm learning about Spain it is that they are a very artistic nation and take pride in that.  Anyways, Week 1 was a blast which consisted of extreme focus in the spanish arts and heavy partying at night.  Maybe too much partying if you asked me, 4 shots of absinthe probably wasn't the best idea but I apparently had fun.  Fast forward to week 2 and me and my roommate Kevin have finally gotten to the grove.  With siestas starting around 2 pm or 14:00 if you're going by the local time, it's no wonder people flock to this beautiful country.  Its Tuesday night, actually Wednesday morning, and I've just got back from watching a group named AAMP, whom killed it tonight.  I loving this little town named Salamanca, I mean where else would I want to be where I could go see a concert for free and the 17th century church right behind it.  By the way, I'm not gonna go back to edit what I've written, giving this blog a more "raw" feeling to it.  I'm having an eventful weekend up ahead, I'm heading to Toledo! (yes Toledo in Toledo) and Segovia (roman aqueducts, hopefully pictures will be up soon), and then a farewell to a local bullfighter in his last match as an amateur.  I was feeling a bit sick but after doing a "super-siesta" (basically a siesta but longer) I'm feeling better.  And that was Spain week 1-2 in a nutshell...
